Activities
The world around Alet Les Bains offers you as little or as much activity as you like - from canoeing on the River Aude, cycling through villages and on mountain paths, through to exploring country walks and brocante/antique markets.
In Summer there is the property’s 12 x 4m swimming pool as well the local swimming pool and in Winter skiing in the Corbieres (approximately 90 minutes away).
Within a 10km radius there are vineyards and fresh produce markets available every day of the week.
Location
Alet Les Bains is a postcard perfect town in the Aude département sitting to the east of the River Aude. It lies on a relatively flat area, off the D118, in the Aude valley surrounded by mountains.
It is known as the gateway to the Haute Vallee de l'Aude (gateway to the upper Aude valley) and is 33 km away from Carcassonne to the north, an hour away from the Mediterranean Sea to the east and just over an hour from the ski resorts to the south west.
Located in the Razés between Limoux and Quillan, it is in the heart of the "Pays Cathare" (Cathar Country).
The closest international airport is Carcassonne, with Toulouse (120kms) serviced by a wider range of international airlines.
